City of Katy Parks and Recreation will host a Fall Community Campout on Nov. 8-9 at Katy VFW Park, 6202 George Bush Drive. The free overnight event begins at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, and runs through 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. Families with children of all ages are welcome to attend. Hot dog dinner will be provided by Parkway Fellowship North. The outdoor movie will begin at dark.
The event is free but participants must register by 5 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Parks & Recreation Department at City Hall, 901 Ave.C or by email at [email protected]. There is no onsite registration. No electricity is provided at the campsite. Each family must bring any camping and personal supplies they will need. Camping trailers and camp fires are not allowed.
